Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of CommerceAMELIA ISLAND -- Twenty-seven member organizations have been nominated for 2008 Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce Businesses of the Year awards, while 16 individuals have been nominated for 2008 Volunteer and Customer Service Professional of the Year awards. The awards will be presented during the Chamber’s annual dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2009, at the Amelia Island Plantation. In addition, the 2008 Chairman’s and Board of Director’s awards will be presented as will the Harry Halley Bowtie Award, which is bestowed annually on a longtime Chamber supporter. Nominations for the Businesses of the Year, Volunteer and Customer Service Professional awards are made by Chamber members and staff. Winners are selected by the Board of Directors.
